Sweater Manufacturers workers reunited after 50 years, selfie MV recalls Fanghua years

  To celebrate the 70th birthday of the knitting factory more than one hundred employees of the former Shenyang knitting Factory sang "I and My  factory " and began to celebrate their important festival-the 50th anniversary of the factory. In these seventies, the old man's passion has not diminished. He not only rehearsed various artistic programs, but also edited and directed an MV work, showing the high artistic standards of textile workers.

On December 26, 1969, 170 outstanding junior high school graduates were selected from eight schools including Shenyang No. 19 Middle School, 23 Middle School, 29 Middle School, 80 Middle School, 101 Middle School, 106 Middle School, Yucai Middle School, and Railway Middle School. Full of youthful impulse and longing, they strode into the door of Shenyang knitting Factory, and since then, they opened a new chapter in their lives.

    Shenyang Sweater Manufacturers is a cotton spinning enterprise with a long history and glorious tradition. Its predecessor was the Fengtian Sweater Manufacturers, which was established under the auspices of Feng Zu warlord Zhang Zuolin in 1912, and was the largest textile enterprise in the Northeast at that time. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was renamed the No. 8 Northeast Textile Factory and the State-owned No. 8 Textile Factory. In 1958, it was named Shenyang knitting Factory. In its heyday, the factory had nearly 10,000 employees, with an annual output of 13,000 tons of various cotton and chemical fiber blended yarns, an annual sales income of 360 million yuan, and an export of 6 million yuan. It is not only the vanguard of the cotton spinning industry in Liaoning Province, but also a key national key enterprise.

In that red and red revolutionary era, knit factory were very enviable work units, and the image of textile workers often appeared in movies, newspapers, and posters. Although the work here is heavy and hard, the factory's political life and cultural activities are rich, which is a rare exercise opportunity for young people. These 15- and 16-year-old apprentices have gone through three shifts, two shifts, seven-six-six shifts, and four-shift-three operations. They have also demonstrated their level and charm on various stages. Here, we are constantly striving to improve ... Some have created production success, some have taken leadership positions, and some have become excellent literary backbones.

   Time has passed, and half a century has passed in a blink of an eye. The little girl and boy of that year have already been stained with light frost. They can gather together again in the vast crowd without forgetting their past, and they cannot help but sigh, this is a united and enthusiastic collective. During the preparations for the 50th anniversary of the gala, just as the people of the whole country celebrated the 70th birthday of the motherland, a song "I and My Motherland" sang all over the streets. The organizers of the event came up with this song as the theme and filmed a music video with the existing industrial relics of the Shenyang Textile Factory as the background. As soon as this idea came out, everyone responded positively. Some were in charge of choreography of songs and dances, some were in charge of preparing costumes, some were in charge of finding shooting scenes, and contacting the vehicles ...

   The main scene of the MV was selected in the only remaining site in the original Shenyang knit factory. This building is the office building of Fengtian knitwear manufacturers, built during the period of the Warlords. It has a century of history and was identified as an immovable cultural relic by the Shenyang Municipal Government. This European-style building with Chinese traditional elements was once a symbol of the textile mill, and was retained after the factory moved in 1999. Fifty years have passed, the old building is still there, people are vicissitudes, but the passion is not diminished.
